Although Home For Me provides non-medical home care, Elizabeth Smith is a Registered Nurse (RN), offering our clients a greater assurance of our ability to handle medical emergencies. Professional help is always close at hand when your loved ones are in our care.
We employ only compassionate professionals who have been fully trained and passed extensive background checks. Our company is fully insured. Elizabeth also goes the extra mile to check up on the level of service we provide to all of our clients, performing regular in-home check-ups to confirm clients’ needs are being fully met.
Medication Management
Home For Me can help your loved one keep up with medication. Our Homecare Nursing team will be happy to create clear, easy-to-use medication sets. Our team calls on all relevant medical professionals — specialists as well as doctors — to ensure your loved one is thoroughly familiarized with his or her prescribed medications. We know how useful a little extra help can be in completing a treatment regimen or managing a chronic illness.
Personal Care
Our caregivers will be happy to help your loved ones with all of their personal care needs. Examples include assistance with dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, nail and skincare, outfit selection, and more. Each of our caregivers puts the best interest of the specific client first when providing personal care. We strive to make sure all the necessary care tasks are completed while encouraging your loved one to maintain as much independence as possible.
Companion Service
One of the most easily-overlooked but important parts of providing home care is delivering the sense of support and compassion that our aging clients need. We make it our policy to engage in our clients’ lives to ensure that they are enjoying themselves. Home For Me caregivers can help your loved ones take walks, read, play games, or visit their friends and relatives. Light House Cleaning & Kitchen Work
Home For Me caregivers can, when necessary, provide help with basic cleaning tasks to ensure your loved one’s living environment is tidy. Our caregivers can typically handle dusting, vacuuming carpets and upholstery, bedding changes, bathroom cleaning, and general tidying. Laundry duties can be added to your loved one’s care schedule if required.
Our caregivers would be happy to assist you and your loved ones with meal planning, including coordination with your healthcare providers and/or nutritionists. The Home For Me team can provide help with grocery shopping, dishwashing, cooking, food preservation, and more. We always make sure our clients’ specific dietary needs are fully met!
Attendant/Driver Service
For clients with mobility issues, caregivers can help them handle out-of-home tasks like shopping, running errands, or meeting appointments. Our caregivers are available to make sure your loved one safely makes it to family gatherings, sporting events, or wherever else they want to go.
Care For Alzheimer’s/Dementia
Home For Me has seen first-hand how much stress age-related mental issues can put on a family. For clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s, we collaborate closely with family members to ensure all parties are made as comfortable as possible. We have several staff members who specialize in Alzheimer’s and dementia, and they can enrich your loved one’s services with a range of helpful memory care techniques.
